Lansing is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Just like the other reviews say not much to look at from the outside. But once you come inside everything looks nice and clean. The food was amazing the boil was beyond awesome. Server was awesome. All around great experience. Our server Alyssa was amazing. My first time eating a seafood boil! Two thumbs way up! I don't usually leave this good of reviews but. I love seafood and this hit the bullseye! Honestly crabcakes could have been a lot better but they were appetizers not main course!

I go to King Ocean crab at least every one to two weeks. I get the seafood boils and every one has been amazing. I 100% recommend. They're the closest in the are to ones I've had in Mississipi and New Orleans. The service is hit or miss. There are a few that are 100% excellent and a few who are rude. That doesn't stop me from going there. The atmosphere on the other hand, the outside looks grungy. The inside is clean, but often loud and has a strong chemical smell everytime I walk in.

I enjoyed my experience here, and l love the location. I ordered a Moscow mule, and that was very refreshing. I also ordered some of their raw oysters on the half shell. They were very good, and I was glad they came out with enough time before the entree so I could enjoy them. I also ordered some sushi special rolls and some of their taco sushi because I wanted to try something different. All of the sushi was delicious, I did especially like the taco sushi. It was creamy but with some crunch, too. It was a great atmosphere, and the waitress was very kind and attentive. I did find it interesting that I was brought Styrofoam type plates to eat with as everything else came out on regular glass dinnerware. It would have been a much more elevated experience if I had brought been brought glass dinnerware.
